Hey all,

I hope you all are enjoying your vacation week. God loves taking breaks. He seemed to take on on that seventh day...

Youth Group Update

We have begun a new study, in both SH and JH, called the 24/7 Experience. What does it look like to live out our faith, as Jesus-followers, in a way that transforms the world around us. This week we were introduced to 7 high school students who traveled the country and visited different areas ministries, seeing how following Jesus can take many different shapes.

We were challenged to view ourselves and ask the hard questions of what do people in our circles, friends and family who don't know Jesus, think about Christians, and how can we be about changing those ideas by living lives more like Jesus. The rest of the time we have together until the end of school will be spent following these 7 students. Can't wait to see how God will grow and change us over the next few weeks.

New JH Youth Group Night

I let you all know earlier that Monday nights were getting rather crazy at the YMCA and the time has come for a change. We will be moving youth group night to Wednesday evenings at the normal time: 7-8:30p. This is not such a bad thing as youth group nights for all will be changing for the summer. This just means that the JH are making the change early. So we will now be meeting on Wednesday evenings until the beginning of next school year when we will look at the schedule anew.

So bullet pointed: New Night = Wednesdays from 7-8:30p at the YMCA.

Youth Coffee Meetings

We had a great time at the Parrott's home this last Thursday, talking about life and youth ministry. The next will be on Thursday 5/6 from 7-8:30p at the Lecaroz home. Please come. And if you are coming please RSVP to me by Wednesday 5/5 at noon.

Important Dates

  • This Monday May 3, from 5-8pm, at Juliano's we have another OrchardYouth night. Come on out, eat-in or carry-out, and mention OrchardYouth to have 20% of your check donated to our ministry!
  • On Thursday May 13 from 3-6pm we have the opportunity to serve at the Sonshine Soup Kitchen in Derry. Praise God they have so much help (I called to schedule our group back in January), so they only needed a few of us to help. I have 3 spots available. Please email me graham@orchardnh.org if you are interested in serving in this way.

I'm praying for you all. That God shows up in a mighty way in your lives and that you will make a positive change in your community this week.

inHim,

Graham
