We're a new church with a long history. Most of our congregation was originally part of one of New England's oldest churches. In the summer of 2008, we incorporated as a new church. We did it without having a permanent church building. It was a leap of faith and a new chapter in the story of the Gospel in Londonderry, New Hampshire. We have a couple hundred attendees across our Sunday morning services and we'd love for you to join us. Our goal is to be a Christ-centered community that is welcoming, supportive, and faithful in our teaching of Christianity. Practically, that means that we help one another grow in faith, encourage acts of service inside and outside the congregation, and share our faith with those people who are uncertain regarding what it really means to be a Christian. We think that this approach is one of the reasons why our church has so many members active in ministries that serve families in need, children in foster care, single moms, the elderly, and our neighbors in the Londonderry community. Our congregation knows that faith doesn't end with Sunday morning worship. It's a way of life you live every day.
As we save money for a new church building, we are currently holding our Sunday morning worship services at Matthew Thornton Elementary School. We meet in the auditorium where there's enough room for all of us. You can find Matthew Thornton Elementary School at 275 Mammoth Road, Londonderry NH 03053. We have ushers at the front doors to direct you to the auditorium.
Our pastor is Rev. Ken Glasier. Ken joins us from Colorado where he pastored for years. His preaching style combines subtlety and reflection with humor and candor. His sermons are not "pie in the sky" lectures but, instead, they're talks that speak to people in their everydays lives with all of life's conflicts, confusions, hopes, and surprises. The Bible verse Ken frequently cites as a guide to life is Colossians 1:28-29, "We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ. For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me." Ken has served in a variety of roles during his career in ministry including associate and senior pastorates. Additionally, he has worked in hurricane restoration, missionary work with medical clinics, and construction projects. He has also ministered in Mississippi as well as the countries of Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, India, Macedonia and Bangladesh. A great joy was being able to bring Christmas gift boxes to orphans in Bangladesh! More on Pastor Glasier...
