Men's Ministries at Orchard Christian Fellowship offers many opportunities for men to grow in Biblical manhood, serving Christ at home, at work and in the community. We offer many Bible studies that meet throughout the week. We also have many events throughout the year. Below you will find the events we have scheduled for the fall.
Faithworks
Faithworks is a ministry that creates teams of men who volunteer once a month to perform home maintenance and repair work for single mothers, senior citizens, and women with spouses serving overseas in the military. For more information, visit the Faithworks page.
Men's Pornography Addiction Support Group
For Men Only (FMO) is an accountability and support group for men struggling with pornography addiction and related issues. These accountability groups of 10-12 meet weekly under the leadership of Godly men who have experienced sexual addiction and the healing process and mind renewal made possible only through the Lord. Individual support and prayer are a start to health and recovery but the growth and maturity needed for freedom from addiction are increased significantly through authentic barrier-free communication with other like-minded men. Bible Studies
High Ground Bible Study
Higher Ground is the Orchard’s Thursday Night Men’s Bible Study, meeting most Thursday nights from 7:30 to 9:00pm in the front conference room of the Robie House (enter the Robie house at the rear and turn left once inside). All men and young men (ages 16+) are welcome!
On March 17th 2011 we start a new study, “Prophets & Kings of Israel” from the acclaimed “Faith Lessons” DVD-based Bible Study series developed by Ray Vander Laan and sponsored by Focus on the Family. Each lesson is a remarkable mix of Bible teaching, history lesson, and travelogue – all building toward an extraordinary faith lesson that always “hits between the eyes.” By transporting us to the ancient Holy Land, we experience for ourselves the circumstances and situations surrounding the Bible stories we thought we already knew.

Wednesday Warriors
Wednesday Warriors is an early risers men’s group, meets every Wednesday morning, 6:30 a.m. at the Robie House. This would be a great time to join us! We begin a new study on September 22. This will be a DVD series, and should generate a lot of excellent discussion and growth for all who attend. We will be watching "That the World May Know" by Ray VanderLaan. ACE Hardware Men's Group
ACE is a group of guys who get together early on Saturday mornings to look at various topics relevant to a man's walk with God. Because travel, home responsibilities, and other commitments keep small group participation "off the grid” for many men, our Saturday morning timeslot makes getting together easier. The fact that we meet at the Robie House from 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. means that there is still plenty of time to get to ACE Hardware after our study and complete all those tasks which have been waiting for the weekend.
ACE has just started looking at the book of Proverbs, and how we can better understand and attain the wisdom which God communicates to us in that book. As is our norm, there will be plenty of differing opinions, deep discussion, and “clipping” calls as we learn about how to apply God’s wisdom in our lives and in our church. We’d love to have you join us.
We plan on studying the book of Joshua starting January 29th, 2011 following The Orchard's Men’s Retreat.
