Marty is enjoying this trip. His crew is really good and he likes the kids. He is a bit concerned about finishing the job today, especially with thunderstorms in the forecast for Friday. His crew is building a wheelchair ramp. He was telling me how long it takes the students to hammer the nails! They just didn't know how to do that job well at the beginning of the week, but they are coming along! Marty has resisted the temptation to "just take over". He said he could have finished the job himself already! But this is really about the learning experience for the crew, and they are learning!

Marty is also grateful that he brought along some tools that weren't on the Tool List, and has several more at home that he wishes he would have brought! The Tool List had lots of painting supplies and minor construction supplies, but Marty has a basement full of major power tools. I'm not sure there would have been room in the car for passengers if he brought everything he wanted! ~ Mrs. C :)
